Logo Development

Here is how I developed my logo, starting with: my chosen type from the initial idea to the developed type and the initial logo image ideas and their developed versions.

Above is the second page if my initial ideas after I had decided the best image would be either; the badger because this is a British re-brand and is well known British animal but also is an animal from Romania. I also thought a badger would be good because it is a clear iconic image (due its black and white colouring) and a badger is not a domestic animal (therefore untamed) and this brand is aimed at people who do outdoor sports, so links in with being untamed.

Above, I was trying to simplify the image of a badger as much as possible before loosing too much detail (making it impossible to be understood as a badger). A simple image is more iconic and memorable because they are instantly recognisable.

Here I was developing the logo image of a badger, experimenting on whether I should put a dece hat on the logo or not. I think that the hat didn't work too well because it would need more detail to be recognisable as a hat which would defeat the my plan to be simplistic.
