Quiksilver - David Carson

David Carson was commissioned to create the style for Quiksilver Pro New York, or at least it started there. I believe this says a lot about Quiksilvers 'style' and the look they are going for and achieving. David Carson is a very influential graphic designer known for his experimental typography and 'grunge' styles. I knew of David Carson before researching this project and he has been one of my favourite designers for a long time so I already knew of his work with Quiksilver, but it gave me a chance to look more into it. After Carson and George Bates showed the NY based Quiksilver, France then wanted in and told them just to have better designs than the ones they did for NY.

Carson teamed up with George Bates, Michael Lotenero and Justin Kauffman to come up with the designs, here are a few of them:

I definitely think the montage of the design should be something I incorporate into our advertising as it appeals to our target audience.
